Reselling tack, apparel and home decor that are statements to your lifestyle.

It all begins with an idea.

Lifelong equestrian and resident of Cochise County, Michelle Hunter, owner and operator of Bits & Pieces, has experienced first-hand the need for a universal store that caters to all areas of horsemanship, including reselling.

Growing up riding Quarter Horses and Paints in gymkhanas and rodeos, Michelle first fell in love with western riding and competition. Around the age of 9, Michelle was introduced to the horse show world where she trained in Tucson to compete in western pleasure, trail and horsemanship, showmanship, and hunt seat equitation. She later went on to compete at Arabian Youth Nationals in 2009. At home she was still actively involved in barrel racing on Quarter Horses.

In 2017, Michelle fulfilled her dream of becoming a rodeo queen, titled as 2017-2018 Sierra Vista Riding Club Queen. What an experience and blessing this opportunity was!

After a brief hiatus from horse ownership, Michelle and her son, Wade, are now pursing their horse dreams with their all-around Thoroughbred, Lover Boy. You could say this new chapter has led to the idea of Bits & Pieces. With the goal of riding both English and Western again, shopping for a new wardrobe for them as well as the horse also became a need.

If thrifting is considered a hobby, it qualifies on Michelle’s list of things she loves. Everyone loves a great find at an even better price! While shopping, the vision for a high end, horse related “thrift store” came to mind… and Bits & Pieces was born.

High end and well loved… like your horse!
